Get ready to see more of Aja Naomi King.
The How to Get Away With Murder star, known as law student Michaela Pratt on the Shondaland drama, has joined L’Oreal Paris as its newest spokeswoman, the beauty brand announced Thursday.
Her first campaign will involve fronting for the L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glow, a new collection of five products — Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer, Glow Nude Palette, Shimmerista Powder, Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops and Bronze It Bronzer — that are described in a release as creating “an effortless and luminous glow.”
According to King, her love for makeup started with her mama.
“Growing up, I watched my mom apply her makeup in the morning and wanted so badly to be part of that daily ritual with her. Seeing how much she enjoyed putting makeup on, including her go-to L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour, inspired me to love makeup as much as she did,” says King. “Makeup became my armor growing up. It provided me with a sense of protection and gave me the power and confidence to face the world in the way I wanted.”
She adds: “To now represent L’Oreal Paris is incredibly overwhelming. I am so excited to help others find and believe in the beauty of who they are because everyone deserves to know their own worth.”
King joins Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning and Camila Cabello as ambassadors of the cosmetics company.
Along with ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder, the actress will soon appear in Neil Burger’s The Upside, in which she stars opposite Nicole Kidman, Bryan Cranston, Julianna Margulies and Kevin Hart.
