Howard Stern has harsh words when it comes to Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State football coach who has been charged with 40 counts of sexual abuse against children.
“They should cut his b—- off,” the radio host told Extra at Monday’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 premiere in Los Angeles. “I mean, what are you going to do with a guy like that? This is the real stuff that sickens me and should sicken all Americans.”
Sandusky — who has been charged by the state of Pennsylvania with the sexual assaults or advances on eight boys from 1994-2009, during which time he served as Penn State defensive coordinator and head of the Second Mile charity, helping at-risk youth — recently insisted in an interview with NBC’s Bob Costas that he is not a pedophile but admitted that there are some actions he regrets.
“I shouldn’t have showered with those kids,” he said.
Stern’s take? “Here’s a tip for America: If you see a young boy being raped in a shower, walk over and punch the idiot in the mouth who is raping him. … A real man steps up and says ‘This is wrong,’ and they do the right thing.”
Stern isn’t the only high-profile figure to come out swinging against Sandusky. On Tuesday’s On the Record With Greta Van Susteren, Sarah Palin said he should be hung “from the highest tree, and I’ll bring the rope if he’s guilty of what’s been alleged.”
Jon Stewart also mocked Sandusky’s phone interview with Costas on The Daily Show, saying: “Now, I’m no lawyer, but it seems to me when you’re accused of one of the most heinous crimes imaginable, you may not want to literally phone in your defense on national television.”
“I judge at home, so I might as well go on TV and judge,” he said. “I would make an excellent judge, dare I say the best judge on television. … In fact, I have the hair of a judge, all I have to do is get the powdered wig.”
