Rapper Iggy Azalea, Las Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons and Joe Jonas’ group DNCE are among the first performers named for the Much Music Video Awards on June 18.
The early performance slate includes Lorde, Julia Michaels and Jazz Cartier. The MMVAs, last year hosted by supermodel Gigi Hadid, will be held once again at the Much Music headquarters in Toronto.
The awards show, besides airing live on the Much, CTV and VRAK channels, will live-stream on the iHeartRadio app. The Canadian video awards show provides a platform for the U.S.-based iHeartRadio, formerly known as Clear Channel, which last year signed an exclusive pact with Canadian broadcaster Bell Media to launch its brand in Canada.
“With our enduring commitment to bringing the best in music to Canadians, this first announcement proves that there’s no shortage of star power for fans this year,” Nanci MacLean, vp Bell Media Studios, said in a statement.
