AP ImagesIggy Azalea has weathered her fair share of criticism on social media and engaged in online feuds with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Steve Madden, Azealia Banks and Papa John’s, among others. But now she’s had enough.
In a series of tweets posted Wednesday night, Azalea said recent comments about the way she looked in a bikini on vacation were the last straw, and she’s taking “some time away from social media,” she wrote.
“I need to be happy and it is too negative and draining,” she added.
Her management will update her accounts from now on, she explained, with any personal messages signed “IA.”
She also called out online commenters for their nasty remarks, writing “The Internet is the ugliest reflection of man kind there is.”
