As any mom will attest, motherhood is life-changing, not only in the day-to-day sense, but in the new mom’s fashion sense, too.
Tia Mowry, known for starring opposite her twin Tamera in the ‘90s ABC sitcom Sister, Sister and later reuniting on the Style Network reality show Tia & Tamera, brought The Hollywood Reporter along for a recent shopping venture at TAG in West Hollywood (with stylist Adeel Khan by her side), where she reflected on her own personal style and how baby Cree changed the way she looks at clothes.

“It’s all about being comfortable and having great style at the same time,” Mowry says of motherhood, crediting boyfriend jeans as one of her closet staples. “Put on some nice pumps and a nice shirt [with it] and you’re done, you’re set.”
But don’t expect to see Mowry in the dreaded mom jeans anytime soon. The 34-year-old still fancies “funky and fun” styles, including neon-hued pants (“just don’t go overboard with it, you don’t want to blind anybody”), animal prints and leather.
Among her favorite designers: Alice + Olivia, Theory and TOMS shoes.
“This is incredibly timeless,” Mowry says, holding a detailed leather jacket. “What I love to do with leather pieces like this is put a really nice, pretty dress up under it. You can wear them with anything – you can wear them with dresses, you can wear them with skirts.”

And for those bad-hair days that haunt fashionistas everywhere, Mowry recommends a quick fix. “I have a lot of hats in my closet,” she says with a laugh.
