Social media came alive on Monday when it was announced Anthony Scaramucci was already out as the White House communications director after only 10 days on the job.
In an official statement, the Trump administration said it was Scaramucci who resigned his post to give newly appointed chief of staff John Kelly a chance to put his own people in place.
Whatever the reason behind the decision, the removal of “The Mooch” had social media ablaze as users reacted to the news with what seemed like endless memes and puns.
Minutes after the news broke, both Scaramucci and The Mooch were the top two Twitter trends worldwide.
