Jack White‘s sophomore solo album is on the way. The former White Stripes guitarist-singer announced today he’ll release Lazaretto, the follow-up to 2012’s Blunderbuss, on June 10 via his Third Man label through Columbia Records.
The set’s lead single, the title track, will be released later this month. White is giving fans a “first taste” of the album with a video for the blistering instrumental, “High Ball Stepper” (see below).

Third Man will release a special edition of the album that will include colorful vinyl, a poster, a 7-inch featuring demos of two songs, “Alone in My Home” and “Entitlement,” and a hard-bound book of photos and lyrics.
Blunderbuss gave White his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as the rocker’s first solo effort debuted atop the chart with 138,000 sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The album was the artist’s first No. 1 in any form — he missed the top with his other bands the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather. (However, they collectively notched seven top 10 sets.) The album has sold 553,000 to date.
