Jamie Dornan Visited Sex Dungeon to Prepare for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Role

It seems Jamie Dornan may have tried a bit of Method acting to prepare for the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey by visiting sex dungeons.

In teasers for an interview to be published in the February issue of Elle UK, the Northern Irish actor was frank in detailing his preparation for the role of Mr. Grey which included visiting S&M clubs. “I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did … whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives,” he says.

But Dornan was strictly professional of course, finding the whole experience amusing. “I was like, ‘Come on, guys. I know I’m not paying for this, but I am expecting a show.’ It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards … I had a long shower before touching either of them.”

The full interview will run in the February issue of Elle UK. Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters on Valentine’s Day next year.
