'Jane Eyre,' 'Midnight Paris' Bookend 46th Karlovy Vary Festival — Wasikowska followed up her roles in last year's hits *The Kids Are All Right* and *Alice in Wonderland* by taking on Charlotte Bronte's iconic heroine *Jane Eyre*. The Aussie actress, who's currently filming *The Wettest County in the World* with Shia LaBeouf, also has Gus Van Sant's *Restless;* *Stainless Steel*; *Albert Nobbs* and an adaptation of Arthur Miller's play, *A View from the Bridge*, lined up.

COLOGNE, Germany – Charlotte Brontë and Woody Allen will bookend this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival with Cary Fukunaga‘s take on Brontë’s classic Jane Eyre opening the Czech fest July 1 and Allen’s Cannes Festival opener Midnight in Paris closing the event July 8. Dame Judi Dench, who will receive Karlovy Vary’s Crystal Globe honor for Outstanding Contributions to World Cinema, will be on hand to present Jane Eyre, in which she stars alongside Mia Wasikowska, Jamie Bell, Holliday Granger and Sally Hawkins.

Further star power this year will come courtesy of actor John Turturro, who will receive the festival’s President Award and together with his actress wife Katherine Borowitz, unspool the world premiere of Somewhere Tonight from director Michael Di Jiacomo. John Malkovich will also attend Karlovy Vary this year but instead of presenting a film, the two-time Oscar nominee will show off the new Technobohemian line of men’s clothing he has designed. Czech actors will man the catwalk for a fashion show of Malkovich’s latest creations.

Oscar-winning Hungarian director István Szabó will chair the competition jury at Karlovy Vary this year judging, together with German actress Sibel Kekilli, Czech producer Pavel Strnad, Slovak helmer Vladimír Balko, Greek critic Michel Demopoulos, Israeli film scholar Edna Fainaru and French critic Michel Ciment, the 12 titles competiting for the festival’s Crystal Globe and its accompanying $30,000 cash award.
