TOKYO — Frozen topped the Japanese box office for a fourth consecutive weekend, adding another $8.24 million (?851 million) on Saturday and Sunday to give it a cumulative haul of $75.4 million (?7.78 billion) after 24 days in theaters.
Released in Japan as Anna to Yuki no Jou (Anna and the Snow Queen), its take dropped 9 percent from last weekend after increasing during consecutive weekends after its bow. Admissions have now topped 6 million.

Frozen is still on course to overtake Toy Story 3 as Disney’s biggest animated movie in Japan, which is set to push past Korea to become the film’s biggest-earning overseas territory.
There was no movement since last weekend in the top seven films of the box office rankings, with The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, released in Japan as Life, holding on to the seventh spot, the only other import on the chart.
