Jay Mohr is joining Fox Sports Radio as its new midday host.
The actor-comedian will debut Jay Mohr Sports on Jan. 2. from the company’s LA studios. The show will air live on weekdays from noon-3 p.m. ET, and feature a mix of sports and entertainment along with radio appearances by athletes and celebrities.
“After spending the last 15 years guest hosting, I couldn’t be happier to get the opportunity to host my own show!” Mohr said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to talking sports, connecting with listeners, and interviewing amazing guests every day, while being a part of the FOX Sports Radio family. It was worth the wait.”
Mohr’s film credits include Jerry Maguire (1996), Go (1999) and Hereafter (2010). He plays “Rick the Implausible” in the upcoming Jim Carrey–Steve Carell magician comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
His TV credits include Saturday Night Live, on which he appeared from 1993-1995, The West Wing, Family Guy and Ghost Whisperer.
