BermanBraun has hired NFL exec Jeff Berman as its president.
Courted for his digital experience, Berman previously served as general manager of digital media at the NFL, where he oversaw the league’s web, mobile, social and non-console gaming efforts. Prior to that, he was president of sales and marketing at Myspace, where he was responsible for branded advertising, enertainment, content and marketing.

“We are thrilled to have Jeff join BermanBraun as president of the company. His vast expertise in media, technology and the consumer marketplace will be an asset to all of our divisions at BermanBraun,” said co-founders Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun in a joint statement.
Their new hire oversaw the first-of-its-kind deal that led to the first scripted digital series, Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick‘s Quarterlife, that migrated to TV, as well as the one that integrated multi-party video chat into Fantasy Football and the NFL Network’s NFL Fantasy Live.
Berman comes to the company as BermanBraun continues to expand both in television and online, where it’s behind such sites as Wonderwall and Glo. The Santa Monica-based firm serves as producers of Deception, too, a sudsy undercover drama premiering on NBC tonight. On Sunday, NBC announced it would be making a 13-episode order for a light scripted summer dramedy entitled Camp, also from BermanBraun.
“BermanBraun has a big, bold and brilliant vision for creating world-class experiences across screens and devices. A decade-plus of waiting is over. The future is now,” added Jeff Berman, who earned a J.D. from Yale Law School and serves as an advisor on a series of startups, including Wetpaint and Republic Project.
