After news surfaced that former NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Zucker was close to a deal to run struggling cable news network CNN, it prompted several memorable reactions from industry and television personalities.
Zucker, who currently is an executive producer on Katie Couric‘s daytime talker, would replace Jim Walton, who announced his decision to step down from his post as president of CNN Worldwide this past summer. There is a possibility that a Zucker-CNN deal could fall apart.
“My Old Boss is my New Boss,” wrote CNN host Piers Morgan late Tuesday. Morgan was one of the judges on NBC’s America’s Got Talent before he exited prior to season seven because of his duties on Piers Morgan Tonight.
Here are some other noteworthy tweets, including several fake program titles:
I get confused with Jeff Zucker a lot.One way to keep us straight:He spells his name with a “c” and I don’t ruin television.
