Jennifer Lawrence, 28, is engaged to art gallerist Cooke Maroney, 33, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
According to multiple outlets, the Oscar-winning actress was recently seen wearing a massive engagement ring while out with Maroney in New York City.
The couple sparked rumors of a relationship in June of last year, when they were seen out for a stroll in New York City. Lawrence met her fiance through her mutual friend Laura Simpson, according to Page Six.
Currently, Maroney is the director of New York City’s Gladstone art gallery, which represents high profile clients such as Lena Dunham’s father, Carroll Dunham, Anish Kapoor and Bjork’s e-husband Matthew Barney. Prior to this he worked at the Gagosian gallery and graduated from New York University with a degree in art history.
This will be the first marriage for Lawrence, who was previously romantically linked to her X-Men costar Nicholas Hoult, whom she dated for five years, director Darren Aronofsky who she began dating after meeting on the set of Mother! in September 2016 and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
The engagement news comes as Lawrence launched her production company Excellent Cadaver in October 2018, which includes a first-look deal with Makeready and will see the star, along with her producing partner Justine Polsky, produce films, as well as having Lawrence star in some films.
Lawrence will next appear in X-Men sequel Dark Phoenix reprising her role as Raven/Mystique. The film will also star her ex Hoult, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain and will open in theaters June 7, 2019.
