The actress played “Plead the Fifth” and answered a range of questions while drinking a beer and Pumptini on the show. For the first question of the game, Cohen asked Lawrence if she had ever kissed Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth “when the cameras weren’t rolling.”
“Liam and I grew up together,” said Lawrence, smiling. “Liam’s real hot.” She then said to Cohen, “What would you have done?” Cohen responded, “I would say yes,” prompting Lawrence to confess “yeah,” she has kissed him off-screen.
“I mean, I pick Gale over Peeta any day,” said Cohen. “I did, at one point,” said Lawrence with a laugh.
During the game, Lawrence also admitted she smoked pot before the Oscars one year, although she was very careful not to reveal which one. “I smoked pot at none of them, but I saw my brother smoking out of a bong before one of the Oscars, won’t say which,” she said, adding that yes, she took a hit from it.
Lawrence also talked about filming with Melissa Rivers, who has a small part (as her late mother, Joan Rivers) in Lawrence’s film Joy. Lawrence had tension in the past with Joan and said she was careful not to make things awkward with Melissa.
“I wondered if it was going to be uncomfortable, so I kind of went into it saying, you know, I really — because I really do love Joan Rivers,” said Lawrence. “She had such an incredible life and is an unbelievable woman. I just, you know, I’m very opinionated.” She said she told Melissa she doesn’t think she would have had any beef with Joan had they ever met, complimented Joan, and then things were great between them.
