New York Fashion Week has just ended, and already we’re prepping for one of fashion’s biggest nights next year: the 2015 Met Gala. The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced Friday the new theme for the Costume Institute’s Exhibition, “Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion.”
As usual, the annual fashion ball will include some of Hollywood’s biggest names as co-chairs (Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper co-chaired this year), with Jennifer Lawrence, Marissa Mayer, Wendi Murdoch, Gong Li and, of course, Anna Wintour, set to co-host the stylish extravaganza.
The exhibit, which will open May 7, 2015, through Aug. 16, 2015, will work with the museum’s Department of Asian Art, which celebrates its 100th anniversary next year.
While it’s always exciting to see the extravagant designs advance down the carpet, we’re looking forward to the wild antics Lawrence is likely to pull with the evening’s guest. Don’t think we forgot about that time you photobombed SJP, J. Law.
