Home audio manufacturer Harman Kardon tapped Jennifer Lopez to star in their latest TV spot, and unlike the singer’s previous commercial endorsement for Fiat, the ad agency says she was present for all of her scenes.
“Beautiful Sound” made its official debut on European television Monday. The 31-second clip shows Lopez listening to speakers in a dilapidated mansion, while the noise from the system breaks down the walls and decor, revealing a clean, contemporary apartment.

The New York Times reports that Lopez did not rely on a body double, as she previously admitted to doing for the Bronx location shoots of her Fiat commercial. Doner, which created both the Fiat and Harmon Kardon ads, confirmed that the American Idol judge was on set for the one-day Pasadena, California, shoot in October.
All use of computer-generated imagery, says Doner CCO Rob Strasberg, is limited to the effects that show the old house shaking apart.
When asked why they chose Lopez as the face of the new campaign, Harman International CMO Jeff Willard said she was a natural partner for the brand: “She is about beauty and sound, and we are about beauty and sound.”
Watch the ad, which will see its stateside debut in early 2012, below:
