Jersey Shore had made its cast of previously unknowns household names.
Not only that — it’s made them rich.
In the last go-around of negotiations earlier this year, MTV agreed to pay several of the cast more than $100,000 per episode, locking them in through season six. And each castmember generates $20,000-$50,000 per personal appearance.

But that’s just for starters. Several of the stars have various side projects in the works that are turning some into mini-industries unto themselves.
Here is a rundown of what some of the castmembers are doing away from the Shore:

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino
The Sitch has probably profited the most from being on the show: An insider says he will earn between $2 million and $5 million this year alone. The New York native, who competed on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars last year, also has developed several products based on his much-touted six-pack: an abs-focused fitness video, “The Situation Workout,” a chewable supplement line distributed in association with GNC and a “GTL” app. He also partnered with Gotham Books last year to write an autobiography, Here’s the Situation, that earned him a six-figure advance. He scored another six-figure payday via an endorsement deal with Devotion vodka. Other deals include endorsements for Vitamin Water and Reebok and a DILLIGAF (Does It Look Like I Give a F—) clothing line. Not bad for a former assistant manager at a fitness center.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi
Snooki also has been tapped for a spinoff alongside castmate and close friend Jenni “JWoww” Farley. Earlier this year, she released a novel, A Shore Thing, that didn’t exactly fly off bookshelves, but things looked up a few months later when she appeared on WWE Raw, and then on WrestleMania 27, where she and partners Trish Stratus and John Morrison won their mixed tag team match. In April, she was paid $32,000 to speak at Rutgers University, causing a big uproar among students and parents. She also has appeared on an episode TLC’s Cake Boss titled “Snooki, Super Anthony and a Ship.”
Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio
Before Jersey Shore, the DJ never earned more than a few hundred dollars a week at his job. But now, he could command up to $50,000 a night thanks to a recent DJ’ing deal at Palms Las Vegas. He also is one of three castmembers who has a spinoff in the works.

Before joining becoming a reality star, Farley, a trained graphic artist, owned a graphic design business, Jenni Farley Designs Inc. In addition to the spinoff with Snooki, Farley also is an author, having released a book called The Rules According to JWOWW: Shore-Tested Secrets on Landing a Mint Guy, Staying Fresh to Death, and Kicking the Competition to the Curb. Last year, she launched a clothing line, Filthy Couture, which ran into legal troubles after a company with a similar name threatened a lawsuit. Amid rumors that she would be shutting down the line, Farley tweeted: “Clear things up! I’m designing a new fall line but holding it off for something very exciting! + my management is getting my line in stores. Online sales have stopped for these 2 reasons. Lol these stories r hysterical.”
Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola
Giancola launched her own jewelry line in March. The collection, dubbed Sammi Sweetheart, is part of a deal with costume jewelry brand RichRocks and includes several heart-shaped pieces that retail for under $100. “It was very important for me to keep all of the pieces affordable for my fans so they can purchase more than one piece and add to the collection,” she told People. “I have created some great fun and flirty pieces to wear day into night.”

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro
Ortiz-Margo launched a T-shirt line in February dubbed Jersey Laundry. The collection features tees and tanks for men and women.
Vinny Guadagnino
He also has a clothing line, launched in January, that’s dubbed IHAV (I Have a Vision). The line, launched in collaboration with charity group Do Something, features T-shirts that boast the words “F— Bullies.” “There’s nothing else to say to those guys,” Guadagnino told the Wall Street Journal earlier this year. “When all those kids were killing themselves because of being bullied, that’s all I wanted to tell the people who were doing it.”

Deena Nicole Cortese
Cortese, who joined the show in Season 3, has a line of T-shirts coming soon.
Angelina Pivarnick
Pivarnick, who left the show after two tumultuous seasons, recently posted a song on her website titled “I’m Hot,” written and produced by Andy Stein (aka the DreaMaker). “This song is simply meant to be treated as a novelty tune, not as a song with a serious message,” according to the website.
