Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson’s brand new baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, is less than a month old but she’s already on the cover of People magazine.
The former singer-turned-fashion businesswoman is shown holding Maxwell, who weighed 9 pounds, 13 ounces when she was born via C-section on May 1. Meanwhile, an adorably sleepy Max looks precious in a white dress with a matching headband.
So what’s being a new mommy like?
“My life has completely changed,” Simpson says. “From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!,” she said, adding, ‘We stare at her all the time. We can’t get enough!”

Simpson admits that nursing her hungry girl is a “full-on job.”
“It’s the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her. I miss holding her and having that closeness,” she says.
According to reports, the magazine shelled out $800,000 for the exclusive first baby photos — way less than the $6 million reportedly paid to Jennifer Lopez for her twins, Max and Emme. And not anywhere close to the $14 million Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made for twins Vivienne and Knox.
Simpson has already launched a line of maternity clothing and during her pregnancy, she posed topless (a la Demi Moore) on the cover of Elle magazine.
