Weight Watchers has released Jessica Simpson’s first commercial for their weight loss plan, and it may surprise viewers.
The first installment of Simpson’s campaign was filmed in July, but strangely, the singer says she was “shy” about her weight back then. And that’s why the commercial does not show her full “before” post-baby figure, which seems like the first thing people will want to see — especially to compare the end results.

“I’m Jessica Simpson, and yes, I’m doing Weight Watchers,” she tells the camera, smiling. “There is a lot of pressure to lose weight, but I’m not a supermodel. I’m just Jessica trying to eat real food in the real world and I really just wanna be healthy for my daughter.
“So I knew Weight Watchers was the only way to go. It’s working,” she says, adding, “I’m on my way and it feels amazing. Really, I just wanna be a better version of myself.”
On Monday, Simpson showed off her alleged 40-lbs weight loss on Katie Couric‘s new afternoon chat show. The pop star-turned-fashion designer revealed that she weighed in at 170 lbs when pregnant.

Simpson claims she only has 10 pounds to go, but clearly there will be many more commercials to earn the estimated $3-4 million paycheck she is reportedly earning for her endorsement.
So far, the Weight Watchers deal has been the biggest money-making part of Simpson’s first pregnancy. The first baby photos of daughter Maxwell were sold to People magazine for a reported $800,000.
Though in the end, Simpson is still competing with a svelte Jennifer Hudson, who is unquestionably Weight Watchers’ most successful spokemodel to date.
