Jill Hennessy has signed with APA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
She is best known for playing ADA Claire Kincaid on seasons four through six of Law & Order, and later as the titular medical examiner on NBC’s Crossing Jordan. Hennessy most recently appeared on CBS’ The Good Wife in the recurring role of attorney Rayna Hecht, and she also has been a series regular on HBO’s Luck and the international series Jo.
Hennessy recently filmed the indie horror thriller The Other, starring Cary Elwes, Drea de Matteo and Vampire Academy’s Dominic Sherwood. Her previous film credits include Wild Hogs, Exit Wounds, Autumn in New York, The Paper and RoboCop 3.
Hennessy also is a musician. She played Buddy Holly’s wife in the 1990 Broadway musical Buddy — The Buddy Holly Story and as a singer/songwriter released an album, Ghost in My Head, in 2009. She was a featured guest on Indigo Girls’ 2010 live album Staring Down the Brilliant Dream and played Lilith Fair that same year. She is preparing to release a second album, I Do, soon.
