Jimmy Kimmel, Channing Tatum Play Halloween-Candy Prank on Their Kids

Channing Tatum was the latest star to fill in for Jimmy Kimmel during Wednesday’s broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but Kimmel also joined in on the fun during the show’s annual prank: “Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy.”

“If I’m asking you to do this to your kids, I should probably do mine too,” Tatum told the audience, adding, “Wait ’til you see it” after hearing the audience’s cringing reaction.

Showing a home recording, Tatum informs his daughter that he ate all her candy, only to have her pout and hide. “I’m sorry. I just got so hungry,” Tatum continued to tell his daughter. After telling her it was just a joke, Tatum’s daughter continued to stay upset, telling Tatum, “That’s not funny.”

Meanwhile, Kimmel participated in the show’s viral hit for the first time, recording a video with his daughter, Jane.

“Jane, I have to tell you something. Last night, while you were sleeping, Mommy and I ate all your Halloween candy,” Kimmel told his daughter, as she gasped.

After taking a glimpse inside her candy bag, Jane told Kimmel not to worry, for she still has some candy left. “We only left you Smarties. That’s it. But we ate all the rest of it,” Kimmel continued.

Failing to give an angry reaction, the late-night host asked his daughter whether she was upset or happy, to which she said no to both. Jane then admitted to Kimmel that she was sad, with Kimmel explaining, “Jimmy Kimmel told me to do it.”

Unfazed by his response, Jane then asked Kimmel where the Swedish Fish was. Kimmel explained that her mother ate it, whereas he only ate “Skittles and M&Ms and Kit Kats and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, gum and the eyeballs and the Twizzlers and the lollipop.”

“The eyeball is bubbles!” Jane told Kimmel, adding, “Those are bubbles only for blowing.”

“I know. Every time I hiccup, a bubble comes out,” Kimmel joked, making his daughter laugh.

“Let’s just hope your kids aren’t as well-adjusted as she is,” Tatum said of Kimmel’s video.
