It’s that time of year again for Jimmy Kimmel’s post-Halloween reign of terror. In what the host acknowledges is his “most beloved, highly anticipated” segment of all time, parents have once again taken to YouTube for “Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy.”
“We never seem to run out of participants for this,” Kimmel said. “Every year there’s a new crop. I will be able to do this for as long as people continue to have sex.”
So the hilarious, tearful drama and wide-eyed shock of children everywhere learning that their parents have committed the ultimate betrayal continues.
Even guest Mark Ruffalo, who appeared on Live Monday to promote his new movie Spotlight, got in on the joke. In a video clip, Ruffalo reveals what happened when he broke the news to his kids that he ate all their candy. In Ruffalo’s house, it’s clearly best to not mess with dad.
