Part of the backlash and indignation against Donald Trump for his calling for a ban on all Muslims entering the U.S. included people comparing him to Voldemort on social media.
When J.K. Rowling jumped into the conversation, she clarified: Donald Trump is worse than He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
How horrible. Voldemort was nowhere near as bad. https://t.co/hFO0XmOpPH

Trump’s press release on Monday called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.” He expanded on his beliefs at a South Carolina rally on Monday night, saying he doesn’t care if his statements are “probably not politically correct.”
Republican and Democratic presidential candidates alike criticized Trump’s statement, with former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley bluntly calling Trump a “fascist demagogue.” Horrified reactions to Trump’s plan still are being discussed on social media on Tuesday.
