John Oliver stopped by Wednesday’s Late Show to reiterate that he “couldn’t give less of a shit” about Donald Trump: “It’s physically impossible.”
He doesn’t really care about any of the presidential candidates too much, he told Stephen Colbert. “It’s the 2016 election, and it’s 2015 right now. So I don’t care until we’re in the same year as the thing that I’m supposed to care about.”
Plus, Oliver suggested that they start talking about “almost anything that is not election-related — there are plenty of problems in the world that they might want to talk about other than themselves.”
The two Daily Show alumni also congratulated Trevor Noah on his debut, following Jon Stewart‘s reign.
“He did great, but he’s taking on the impossible,” said Oliver of replacing Stewart. “You can’t replace the irreplaceable.”
