Larry King has booked Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp for a rare sit-down.
The CNN personality’s interview with Depp, who stars in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson‘s The Rum Diary, is slated to air Sunday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. on the cable news network.
King made the announcement on his official Twitter account on Tuesday morning, tweeting a photo of he and Depp during their interview: “Excited to announce my next special: an interview with Johnny Depp!”
King announced that he would leave CNN’s Larry King Live last summer after 25 years, with his last show airing in December 2010. British TV personality and journalist Piers Morgan took over in January with Piers Morgan Tonight.
In addition to The Rum Diary, Depp next appears in Hugo, which screened at the New York Film Festival.
