Katy Perry worked the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet on Sunday, wearing an August Getty Atelier wide-legged brocade jumpsuit and her new pixie cut. But there was one problem that extra-observant fans noticed: The pop star had quinoa stuck in her teeth (the horror!) as she flashed her pearly whites on the step and repeat.
Perry didn’t let the fashion faux pas bother her, though. Instead she posted a close-up of her teeth on Instagram and teased, “Currently taking applications for real friends who aren’t afraid to tell me there’s quinoa in my teeth.” Of course, her followers were quick to volunteer for the role.

Perry opened the awards show, performing her latest single, “Chained to the Rhythm,” with kid dancers, a giant inflatable hamster and huge hamster wheel.
Prior to Sunday, Perry chopped and lightened her locks. The singer looked to superstar hairstylist Chris McMillan, known for creating “The Rachel,” for the cut, and to Justin Anderson and Melinda Miller-Rider for the lighter locks. She captioned on Instagram: “I WASNT READY TILL NOW.”
