Kelly Mullens Brown is departing 42 West to work full time for her client Ryan Seacrest.
On July 9, Mullens Brown will join Ryan Seacrest Productions as executive vice president of external relations, where she will responsible for global communications, philanthropy and community relations. In addition to special projects, she will also be involved in marketing, sponsorship, strategy, and new business development, and will report directly to Seacrest. One of her first orders of business will be to accompany Seacrest as he heads to London in his new role as an Olympics contributor.

During her six-year stint at 42 West, Mullens Brown specialized in corporate positioning, branding, crisis and litigation communications. Her impressive client roster has included the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), Peter Chernin. DreamWorks Animation, The Mark Gordon Company, Producers Guild of America, Sony Pictures Entertainment Television, Starz and Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment.
Prior to joining 42West, Mullens Brown spent two years as a senior executive in crisis firm Sitrick And Company’s Entertainment Practice. She was also a senior communications executive at Sony Corporation Of America and worked with executives across all operating companies – including film, television, music, and electronics businesses. Previous gigs include time at Universal Music Group (UMG), Fleishman-Hillard and a large independent brokerage firm in Portland, Oregon.
