TORONTO – Six months after launching Keshet Canada as the production and distribution entity for Keshet International’s operations in Canada, Mark Rubinstein is to head up Alpine Canada.
Rubinstein led Keshet International’s push to get its formats into Canada by launching a local joint venture last June.
In his new role, Rubinstein becomes a director and shareholder of RubyRun Ventures and will offer management services to Keshet Canada.

That comes as the former Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting executive is named president and CEO of Alpine Canada, the national governing body for alpine, para-alpine and ski cross racing in Canada, replacing Max Gartner.
Rubinstein and Keshet International managing director Alon Shtruzman hammered out the original joint venture deal for Canada, which holds the rights to more than 50 properties to be adapted under the Keshet Canada banner.
The Canadian arm recently tapped Fadoo Productions to develop and produce Keshet’s docu-reality format Marathon for the local market.
