CBS Television Distribution’s Entertainment Tonight and The Insider are swapping talent.
Kevin Frazier will leave ET to co-host The Insider with Lara Spencer, while Insider correspondent Chris Jacobs will head over to ET.
Both moves are effective Monday.
Frazier, a former ESPN SportsCenter co-host, has been a correspondent and weekend co-anchor at ET since 2004. Jacobs has been at The Insder for a little over a year. Previously he hosted TLC’s car makeover show Overhaulin‘.
“It took me a minute to digest it all,” Frazier told The Hollywood Reporter, adding that Linda Bell Blue, executive producer of both shows, informed him of his new gig on Thursday.
“We’re all in the same building,” he added. “So even though it’s two different shows, it’s one big happy family.”
In a statement, Bell Blue described Frazier as “one of the most respected correspondents in entertainment news.”
Frazier added that he has a “great relationship” with Spencer, with whom he shares Los Angeles Lakers tickets.
Asked where their seats are, Frazier quipped: “We’re not quite prime time. We’re in the second row.”

But they’re behind music producer Jimmy Iovine, said Frazier, “and he’s always got interesting people with him.”
