The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, One Direction, Katy Perry and Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat are among the top nominees at the 27th annual Kids’ Choice Awards.
This year’s fan-voted event will be hosted by Mark Wahlberg, who stars in the fourth installment in the Transformers franchise. The Kids’ Choice Awards take place Saturday, March 29, from 8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center.
On the film side, Catching Fire, Iron Man 3, Oz the Great and Powerful and The Smurfs 2 vie for favorite movie.

The Big Bang Theory competes against Good Luck Charlie, Jessie and Sam & Cat in the favorite TV show category, while favorite reality show pits juggernauts American Idol and The Voice against America’s Got Talent and Wipeout.
Notable music nominees include One Direction, Katy Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.
“To be nominated for two awards at this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is just incredible!” said One Direction member Niall Horan in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Thank you to Nickelodeon and to our amazing fans that always support us.”

This year, the Kids’ Choice Awards has added several new categories: favorite app, favorite funny star, favorite animated animal sidekick and most enthusiastic athlete.
Voting in the 22 categories begins Feb. 24 across all Nickelodeon digital platforms, including the Nick.com website and the official Nickelodeon Twitter page, where users can vote by using custom Kids’ Choice Awards hashtags.
Nickelodeon Productions in association with Bob Bain Productions is producing the Kids’ Choice Awards. Bob Bain, Jay Schmalholz and Shelly Sumpter Gillyard are executive producers.
