Kris said she only had nine days to plan her daughter Khloe‘s wedding to L.A. Lakers star Lamar Odom, and a few months for Kim’s.
Still, “it got crazy at the end,” says Kris. “One day rolled into the next.”
She relished putting it together with planner Sharon Sacks though.
“I am the queen of parties since I was in my 20s,” said Kris. “And this wedding was my Olympics!”
“Just to have everything picture perfect… you know what was perfect for me? All my friends and family were just were they were supposed to be on those days: together. We don’t always stop to tell teach other we love each other, and this was the biggest , ‘I love you’ for that occasion.”
Plus, she says Kim was “so happy” that day. “When your kids are happy, you’re happy!”
Kim also appeared on the show to joke about rumors that she was paid $20 million for the rights for her wedding.
“I would literally get married 10 times if that were true!” she said. However, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that she was paid $1.5 million by People magazine for the photo rights, and her planner has said the wedding would have cost $6 million, but she received most of the goods for free or discounted in exchange for publicity.
Kim also joked that she heard her wedding cost $20 million. “I don’t care if I were Oprah Winfrey — I would never spend that on one day! That’s ridiculous.”
E! aired the two-part wedding special Sunday and Monday.
