Kim Kardashian, queen of Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter, was right at home in the sea of social-media-savvy women at the BlogHer 2016 conference in DTLA on Friday. As the keynote speaker, Kardashian dished about defying expectations, her 70-pound post-baby weight loss and her relationship with Kanye (her “third baby”).
She also opened up about her children and their own futures on social media. “It will be a conversation,” said Kardashian of how and when her children, North, 3, and Saint, 8 months, will make their way onto Snapchat and Instagram.
While there’s no specific age when children of the West family can officially join social platforms, Kardashian notes that when they do, she’ll be monitoring them every step of the way, in the same way she looked out for little sisters Kendall and Kylie when they joined Facebook.
She noted, however, that Snapchat can be used as a parenting tool, too. “I actually have friends that catch their kids, who are young teens, doing things on Snapchat that they’re not supposed to,” she explained. Good luck, North and Saint.
