Kim Kardashian West’s highly anticipated KKW Beauty line dropped online Wednesday morning at 9.m. PT, and less than half hour after its launch, at least two shades have sold out.
The Creme Contour and Highlight Kit in Medium was the first to sell out. “I can’t believe it! In just a few minutes!” Kardashian exclaimed on Twitter. Not long after, there was no more Light shade available for purchase. “Wow now the LIGHT has sold out!!!” Each kit retails for $48 each.

Speaking from my own experience, I didn’t have any trouble getting my hands on the Medium shade. It probably helped that I was by my laptop at launch time, constantly refreshing the homepage this a.m.
The Dark and Deep Dark shades are also sold out now. According to Kardashian West, she likes to “use the medium and dark kits. The dark kit is great for medium skintones when you want a darker contour, and you can mix and match shades.”

Don’t be surprised if the kits sell out by the afternoon though.
Kardashian is arguably the mastermind behind the contour craze, so it makes sense that her first beauty release is a product she’s known to use. The launch follows the format of sister Kylie Jenner’s lip-kit line, which typically sell out in minutes as soon as the items drop online.
According to WWD, industry sources predicted that should the 300,000 units produced sell out, Kardashian’s beauty line would earn $14.4 million in sales.
