Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess‘ love of Pinot Noir is no secret.
Not only did his character Titus Andromedon’s improvised song “Peeno Noir” become a viral sensation after airing on the Netflix show, but now the Emmy-nominated actor, musician and comedian is getting into the business of making wine, too.
Partnering with wine industry veteran Anthony Allport, Burgess has released Pinot by Titus ($24.99 per bottle; a case of 12 for $299.88), an approachable 2014 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir featuring notes of black plums and cherry colas.
“To be enjoyed by all the fabulous Kings and Kweens. Pinot makes things fun,” says Burgess of the wine. In 2015, after his “Peeno Noir” song aired, Burgess told People magazine that fans had been mailing him wine. “I’ve been drunk since the show aired,” he said in jest.
And while the winemakers recommend pairing the medium-bodied wine with pork, wine, grilled meats, duck and pheasant, expect to find us sipping on it when Burgess reprises his role on the second season of the beloved award-winning Netflix show, which returns April 15.
