Kirstie Alley has been proudly talking about the weight that she’s lost since she appeared on Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars. The actress has said that she’s lost 100 pounds and is down to a size 4.
However, the fashion police have some follow up questions for Alley. Project Runway judge Tim Gunn voiced his own opinion about Alley’s size during a radio interview on 98.7 FM.

“There is a phenomenon out there right now that I call the lying deceptive shell game of vanity sizing,” the Chief Creative Director of Liz Claiborne said. “In fact, a 4 is really a 6 or an 8.”
Gunn explained that several years ago at Parsons, he did an experiment that proved sizing has changed drastically over the years.

“We took a size 8 dress from 1980 one from 1990 and one from 2000 and compared them. The difference between them was two and a half inches in the waist alone,” said Gunn.
Gunn, who said Alley is probably an 8 or 10, added, “She looks fabulous.” “People are too size conscious,” he said. “It’s all about how you look, and more importantly, how you look in your clothes.”
Alley showed off her slimmer physique by closing the Zang Toi show at New York City’s Fashion Week on September 13. “Before Dancing with the Stars, I bought these dresses from size 14 to 4…all the same dress, and I said, ‘You know what I really want? I really wanna be in this dress in a 4!'” she told ET.
