Kurt Cobain’s sweater from his 1993 performance on MTV’s Unplugged sold at Julien’s Auction House on Saturday for $140,800. The sweater was part of a rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia sale, which also auctioned off The Beatles instruments and a lock of John Lennon’s hair — which went for $25,000.

Considered a staple of one of Cobain’s iconic grunge looks, the sweater was originally estimated to nab between $40,000 and $60,000, but the final bid ended up blowing that number out of the water. With a stained left pocket and missing button, the sweater’s condition was a little questionable, but hey, hygiene has never stopped a super fan before.
