These days, we can never predict what Lady Gaga will wear when she hits the red carpet. A meat dress? Or maybe an uber-chic gown by her stylist-turned-designer Brandon Maxwell?
At Sunday evening’s Oscars, Gaga took us all by surprise in a strapless white jumpsuit with a long skirt attachment from Maxwell’s fall line. The singer paired the look with glamorous old Hollywood curls.
The past few weeks have been non-stop for Mother Monster, who took home a Golden Globe for her acting chops in American Horror Story: Hotel, performed a jaw-dropping David Bowie tribute at the Grammys, sat front row at Maxwell’s fashion show and walked the runway for Marc Jacobs.
Gaga rounds out awards season with an Oscar nomination for best original song, “Til It Happens to You,” which she penned with Diane Warren, from the documentary The Hunting Ground. She’s up against fellow popstar Sam Smith, who is nominated for “Writing’s on the Wall,” from the latest James Bond flick, Spectre.
The 88th Academy Awards — hosted by Chris Rock — airs live on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
