Believe it. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Elbaz confesses: “I put all of me into my work. This is all I have: I don’t have kids; I don’t have a family that I created. But I feel that every day I create a new family. My life in that sense is complete. I find excitement at work; I don’t need anything afterwards. At 10 o’clock at night, all I want to do is come home and watch Kim Kardashian get a haircut — it’s like a vacation, you don’t have to think.”
Kardashian, currently starring and sparring with family on E!’s latest installment of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, is slowly and slowly gaining acceptance into the high-fashion world where reality stars are typically banished; her beau, Kanye West, however, recently commanded the power to lure Anna Wintour to the runway presentation for the debut of his fashion line at Paris Fashion Week.

(As THR can attest, West was a triple-VIP guest at a Chanel dinner in New York during the Tribeca Film Festival this past spring. Although Kardashian wasn’t officially invited, he brought her as his date but strode the red carpet solo at the quadruple-VIP Met Costume Gala weeks later. She wasn’t invited to that, either.)
Elbaz, known for his alluring and feminine design aesthetic, is beloved by such A-list actresses as Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and Julianne Moore.
Would Elbaz deign to design a dress for Kardashian in the future?
There is hope yet, given his Kardashian konfession.
