Richard LaGravenese’s film adaptation of the hit off-Broadway musical from Tony-winning composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown has Kendrick reliving the highs and heartbreaks of her relationship after it’s ended, while ex-beau Jeremy Jordan‘s retelling follows straight-forward chronology onscreen.
