Lena Dunham announced she is releasing a podcast produced by BuzzFeed called Women of the Hour.
Dunham revealed the news on Twitter and Instagram, saying she created the podcast with her longtime friend Jenna Weiss-Berman. “In honor of the Not That Kind of Girl paperback release, I decided to explore the themes of my book further, talking to an array of women I love and admire in order to bring you an audio collage/feminist variety hour in the form of this podcast: Women of the Hour,” wrote Dunham in a Twitter post.
The Girls creator said she and her “all lady pod-squad” will be bringing fan “news and wisdom you can use from women living their best life.” She added, “Please subscribe if you like bad-asses, deep questions, giggling, sexual healing, Gaia life force, style, summer-camp, cute kids, the Internet and feminine power. ”
The episodes will begin on Nov. 5, and BuzzFeed reports guests will include Emma Stone, Amy Sedaris, Janet Mock, June Squibb, Zadie Smith, and Mara Brock Akil.
