TORONTO — Canada’s Showcase has renewed Lost Girl for a fifth season with a new 13-episode order.
Syfy, which also airs the Anna Silk-starring sci-fi series, on Thursday said it has not yet made a decision on a fifth season.
Canuck producer Prodigy Pictures plans to restart production on Lost Girl this spring, ahead of a fall 2014 debut for season five.
The Showcase drama follows supernatural seductress Bo (Silk) as a succubus who feeds off sexual energy.
Throughout the fourth season, Bo was plagued by memory loss that left her with more questions than answers, especially on learning of her inexplicable decision to officially join the Dark Fae.
Also returning to the fifth-season cast for Lost Girl is Kris Holden-Ried, Zoie Palmer, Rick Howland, Rachel Skarsten and Emmanuelle Vaugier (Two and a Half Men, Covert Affairs).
Lost Girl is executive produced by Jay Firestone, Vanessa Piazza and Michael Grassi .
