UTA had its eye on him
Mad Men alumnus Aaron Staton has signed with UTA. After playing account man Ken Cosgrove on all seven seasons of the AMC drama, on Sunday he kicked off a multi-episode arc on Showtime’s Ray Donovan. Later this year the actor will recur on the second season of the Bravo dramedy Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. He continues to be represented by Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management.
UTA also has signed Oliver Stark, another actor from an AMC original series. The London native will be a regular on the martial arts drama Into the Badlands, which will premiere on November 15. He continues to be repped by the U.K.’s Creative Artists Management and by Alchemy Entertainment.

And UTA and Luber Roklin also have signed horror writer/director L. Gustavo Cooper, whose latest movie, June, was picked up by Image Entertainment this year.
A sweet signing
Writer-director Rebecca Johnson has signed with Verve. The boutique agency is becoming known for championing female filmmakers, and Johnson, who received a Best British Newcomer nomination at the 2014 London Film Festival for her debut feature, Honeytrap, fits that bill. The gang drama, about a 15-year-old girl who sets up a deadly trap for a lovelorn suitor, made its U.S. bow at SXSW earlier this year.
Red’s minion enters The Green Room
Orange Is the New Black‘s Abigail Savage has signed with The Green Room for management. She has played kitchen-bound inmate Gina Murphy on the Netflix series since its first season, but Savage’s unique Hollywood resume also includes a long list of sound editing credits, where her work includes the 2010 financial documentary Inside Job (for which she shared a Motion Picture Sound Editors nomination), Sleepwalk with Me and Notorious.
In Hollywood, good Image Management is key
Publicity firm IMPR has signed three new clients who will all be seen on TV this fall:
Nia Long, who will return to network television this fall with ABC’s Uncle Buck remake. On the big screen, she’ll play Keegan-Michael Key‘s wife in Key and Jordan Peele‘s New Line comedy Keanu, scheduled to be released next April 22.
Charlie Weber, who plays Viola Davis‘ consigliere in ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder.
Mercedes Mason, who will be part of Fear the Walking Dead‘s ensemble when the AMC spinoff premieres on Aug. 23.
He was only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird star Julian Walker has signed with Atlanta-based J Pervis Talent Agency and with Overdrive Public Relations. The newcomer earned praise for his acting debut in Blackbird, in which he starred as a teenaged Southern Baptist choir boy struggling with his sexuality. The indie drama, which co-starred Mo’Nique and Isaiah Washington, was released earlier this year.
Behind every cloud …
Damaine Radcliff has signed with Silver Lining for management. In addition to his acting roles in films including Step Up and Glory Road, Radcliff also has worked extensively in visual effects, where his credits include Nickelodeon’s Supah Ninjas and Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally. He’ll be seen back in front of the camera in the upcoming EDM-focused thriller Wild for the Night.
From Oz to the City of Angels by way of Gotham
Australian production company Galaxy Pop has signed with Los Angeles-based The Gotham Group for management. In doing so, the Melbourne-based banner, which specializes in kids’ and YA film and television content (series Get Ace, feature New Cupid), will open an office in L.A. this November.
Also expanding
Culver City-based marketing firm Haley Miranda Group has expanded into a full-service PR agency. The 22-year-old company’s entertainment clients have included Netflix, CNN, Cartoon Network, TBS, Sony TV and TNT. Its new public relations and social media departments will be staffed by three new hires: Director of social media and public relations Ashton Spatz, coming off of a three-year tenure as senior marketing and promotions manager at House of Blues Entertainment and Live Nation; Senior manager of public relations Maggie Waters, who was previously PR director at Tina Thomson Communications; and Social media manager Sarah Ledesma, who comes from the American Film Institute
