MADE LA, the two-day, two-night fashion, music and cultural event, today announced its return to downtown Los Angeles’ L.A. LIVE on Friday, June 9, and Saturday, June 10, 2017.
Highlights of this year’s WME-IMG–organized event will include consumer-facing fashion shows and live performances from Opening Ceremony, Wiz Khalifa and Taylor Gang. MADE LA visitors will also be able to shop indie fashion brands in a special retail section, Shop Small at MADE LA presented by American Express.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. PST on May 1; a presale exclusively for American Express card members begins on April 25.
“We’re excited to return to the West Coast for the second edition of MADE LA,” Catherine Bennett, senior vp and managing director of IMG Fashion, said in a release. “From Opening Ceremony and Wiz Khalifa headlining, to the burgeoning brands and designers being featured at Shop Small at MADE LA, we’re welcoming a group of unique talent in the fashion and music industry to our stage. We’re excited to continue celebrating the increasing intersection of fashion and entertainment in L.A.”

Friday’s Opening Ceremony showcase will be designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim’s first-ever Los Angeles fashion show and experience, premiering their fall 2017 collection.
“MADE has always been a great forum for bringing creativity to life, and we’re excited to present our very first fashion show in Los Angeles on their footprint,” said the designers, who are L.A. natives, and Hollywood magnets, having collaborated before with Spike Jonze, Chloe Sevigny, Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen on past shows and collections. “Opening Ceremony has been a part of L.A.’s community for a while now, and as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our store on La Cienega, we can’t wait to take our show experience to the West Coast this June.”
On Saturday, Grammy-nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa will debut a capsule collection in collaboration with a soon-to-be-announced designer that will culminate in a live musical performance by Wiz and members of Taylor Gang. During and after the show, attendees will be able to use CALA body scan technology to create custom looks from a limited-edition Wiz capsule collection.
Last year’s MADE LA event featured a convergence of fashion and entertainment, with Jeremy Scott showing his Moschino collection, and Katy Perry, Caitlyn Jenner, Cindy Crawford and others sitting in the front row.
