The word “detox” is definitely a ubiquitous term in Hollywood. From juices to shampoos to the various powders and potions peppering the aisles at Erewhon, there are millions of ways to cleanse your body on a daily basis.
Perhaps less overwhelming, and just as important, is having a clean beauty regimen by using products that are free of harmful chemicals and preservatives. This process doesn’t require a 10 day-cleanse and can actually be achieved in a couple of hours if you’ve got the right guidance.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, The Detox Market, the airy boutique that houses all clean and organic lifestyle items, is hosting a beauty event where attendees learn how to strip the contents of their makeup bag of harmful chemicals and ingredients.
Speaking and leading the session are the founders of cult green beauty brands Odacite (Lizzy Caplan, Emily Deschanel, Edie Falco, Brit Marling and the Haim sisters are all big fans), Rahua (Gwyneth Paltrow and Olivia Wilde love this hair line) and W3LL PEOPLE.
“I wanted to gather three of the most iconic brand founders at the same time so green beauty fans have the opportunity to get all their answers in one afternoon,” says Detox Market founder Romain Gaillard.

Hands-on activities include mini-facials courtesy of Valérie Grandury of Odacite, hair consultations offered by Fabian Lliguin of Rahua and makeup applications by Shirley Pinkson of W3LL PEOPLE.
Customers can ask questions and get the real scoop on what toxins and harmful-to-your-health ingredients are lurking in your makeup bag. It sure beats having to research it all on the web or go cross-eyed skimming the ingredients on the back of every product bottle you own.
And of course, should you want to keep the cleanse going, Detox Market has plenty of other products that will help you, well, detox, all the way.
