Margot Robbie’s first campaign is here.
On Thursday, Calvin Klein unveiled the campaign for its new Deep Euphoria fragrance, starring the The Legend of Tarzan actress — and what timing. The film opens Friday, July 1. Photographed by Craig McDean, the 25-year-old beauty poses in a dark purple sequined dress with a shirtless (those abs!) guy lounging nearby. Trey Laird of Laird + Partners directed the campaign, in partnership with Calvin Klein’s in-house creative team.
In addition to the print ads, Robbie will star in the TV campaigns to be helmed by Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence.
“We see Ms. Robbie, who is a risk taker, really exploring the multiple aspects of her personality through fantasy during the deep euphoria Calvin Klein advertising campaign,” said Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer of Calvin Klein, in a statement.
Robbie, who stars in The Legend of Tarzan opposite Alexander Skarsgard, follows in the footsteps of Rooney Mara, Diane Kruger and supermodels Christy Turlington and Doutzen Kroes, who have all previously starred in the brand’s other fragrance commercials.
The Deep Euphoria scent, created by perfumer Honorine Blanc and fragrance consultant Ann Gottlieb, is said to be the “first vibrant chypre floral” in the brand’s perfume portfolio, with notes of Cascalone, black magic rose and sensual musk.
As for trying to figure out the shape of the perfume bottle, you’re on your own there. Lips? A clam?
