Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are packing their bags and heading to Paris for their upcoming spring/summer presentation for The Row. WWD announced the last-minute switch Monday afternoon; however, the show’s details (date, time and location) have yet to be disclosed by the twins’ reps. Aside from one show in Paris in 2011, which was rescheduled due to sample delays, the Olsens have presented The Row at New York Fashion Week.
Earlier this month, Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci also announced that he would be presenting the French fashion house’s spring collection in New York rather than Paris, to be timed with the grand opening of the brand’s new Madison Avenue flagship.

However, the jump across the Atlantic is a bit of an odd choice for the Olsens, especially considering that their New York-based label previously has taken opportunities to celebrate its Big Apple heritage by participating in collaborations like Barneys Made in New York Collection. Additionally, the company is scheduled to open its second flagship in New York City early next year.
The move also comes at a time when the Olsens‘ entertainment company, Dualstar Entertainment (which includes The Row), is under scrutiny for a lawsuit filed by a former unpaid intern.
