Meet an Emmy Nominee: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Star Derek Hough

“I don’t do that often enough where I look back at what I’ve achieved and what’s happened in my life,” dancer and choreographer Derek Hough told The Hollywood Reporter when he stopped by to talk about his ninth Emmy nomination for Dancing With the Stars.

After 18 seasons on Dancing With the Stars and his show World of Dance getting renewed for a second season, Hough said it’s “extraordinary” to be recognized by the TV Academy and to take part in the rise of dance on television.

“To be part of that dance revolution from the beginning to now is just incredible,” he said.
