After her massive Bird Streets sell-off, Megan Ellison is back on an L.A. real estate buying spree with a spate of recently purchased properties in Mount Olympus, reports The Real Estalker.
The Oscar-nominated producer paid a total of $30 million for a flight of contiguous properties that are anchored by a 9,204-square-foot, swerving contemporary home, located on just over 3 acres. In total, the properties add up to 5.17 acres.

Located on a private and gated promontory at the eastern end of the Sunset Strip, the mega mansion comes with no shortage of rumored backstory: The house was originally built for game show host Alex Trebek, and it was later inhabited by Merv Griffin, says The Real Estalker. The three-story spread features six bedroom, eight bathrooms, heated balconies and terraces, as well as outdoor fire pits and off-street parking for more than 25 cars.
Last year, Ellison, the daughter of Oracle chief Larry Ellison, sold her trio of Bird Streets homes (one went to Gateway founder Ted Waitt while the other two were sold to Ashley Tabor, son of British bookmaker Michael Tabor) for a total of $46.75 million.
So will Ellison’s purchase raise Mount Olympus’ profile as the latest view-friendly Hollywood Hills hood on the rise? Real estate insiders say that the area, located just off Laurel Canyon Boulevard, shares some key Bird Streets attributes, such as promontory parcels with five-star views, large lots and ego-stoking street names like Zeus, Venus and Apollo drives.
