Melania and Donald Trump arrived in Tel Aviv on Monday as the president continues his first trip abroad.
They were walking off Air Force One when Donald reached his hand back in what appeared like an attempt to hold the first lady’s hand. In a video released of the moment, it looks like Melania swats his hand away, refusing to hold it.

The perceived slight caused an uproar on Twitter, as social media users mocked Trump for the nature of his relationship with his wife. Chrissy Teigen tweeted out a video of the moment saying, “I kinda dig how much she hates him.”

A day later when Melania and Donald arrived in Rome, another moment between the president and First Lady sparked interest and speculation on social media. On camera, Donald reaches out for his wife’s hand once again but she swiftly moves it up to fix her hair. It’s unclear, however, if she knew he was reaching for it in the first place.

Obama’s White House photographer Pete Souza, who has been using his Instagram account to not-so-subtly troll Trump, posted a photo of then-President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama holding hands at an event in Selma.
